A move for Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool could still be very much on the cards

Despite earlier reports suggesting that it was Real Madrid who were favourites to sign PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe, speculation indicates that Liverpool FC remain very much in the running to land the Frenchman’s signature should he leave the Ligue 1 champions next summer.

Mbappe’s future in France is a source of great uncertainty amid rumours that the highly-rated forward wants to play his trade in another league, with the likes of La Liga and the Premier League coming close to the player’s attraction.

Reports from The Sun state that Liverpool FC’s odds of singing the World Cup-winning attacker are 9/1, as opposed to the 7/1 of Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.

Klopp has a number of attacking options at his disposal, with Diogo Jota’s inclusion to the first-team ranks at Anfield this summer meaning that the Merseysiders enjoy a star-studded frontline for the time being.

However, with reports claiming that Mbappe could be lured to make the move to the Premier League in the summer of 2021, Liverpool FC would not hold back in their pursuit for their long-term transfer target.
