AC Milan are eyeing a surprise move for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita whose current terms at Anfield are due to expire at the end of the season.
Keita’s future in the Liverpool shirt beyond the summer of 2023 has attracted much speculation in recent times with the Reds yet to hand a new long-term deal to the former RB Leipzig star.
Just months after signing Liverpool’s cult hero Divock Origi on a free transfer, the Italian top flight champions AC Milan are credited with an interest in moving in for Keita, according to a report from Milan Live ( via TeamTalk).
He has failed to make the Liverpool squad at all in the Premier League this term due to his recurring injury troubles which might convince the boss Jurgen Klopp to give his nod to the sale of a player who was brought in for a big-money fee back in 2018.
Klopp is said to have his eye out for a new high-profile signing to bolster his engine room with Barcelona’s unsettled maestro Frenkie de Jong’s name emerging on Liverpool’s radar ahead of the January window.
