Adam Lallana a target for three Premier League clubs ahead of Anfield departure

Ahead of his impending Liverpool FC exit, Adam Lallana has been subject to interest from two Premier League sides. Brighton and Burnley have both expressed interest in signing the 32-year old attacking midfielder. Lallana’s contract with the Reds is set to expire following the end of the 2019 20 Premier League season.

It had been reported earlier that Leicester City were a strong favourite to sign Lallana, considering the Foxes’ current boss Brendan Rodgers has worked with the midfielder before during their time at Liverpool FC. However, interest in Lallana has also been brewing from other clubs in the Premier League.

Both Brighton and Burnley are considering offering long-term deals to Lallana as they seek to beat Leicester City to the playmaker’s signature. The Foxes are in pole position to land the Reds’ midfielder’s signature. Rumours indicate that initial talks have also been done by Brendan Rodger’s side with Lallana’s representatives.

Leicester City are keen to sign Lallana as they look towards adding more creative power to their midfielder department. Moreover, there is the possibility of James Maddison departing the King Power Stadium for a move to Manchester United. The 23-year old English international has been a long-term target for the Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp had stated earlier that he would not risk playing Lallana in any further games for the Reds this season. This decision was made by the German coach so that Lallana does not suffer any further injury setbacks.

Any injuries at this point of the season for Lallana would cast major doubts over the 32-year old’s future playing destination. The former Southampton star has been on the fringes of Jurgen Klopp’s squad in recent seasons. A series of injuries have severely curtailed Lallana’s playing minutes for the Reds on the pitch.

The midfielder has just made three Premier League starts this season for the Reds and has not been in any of the matchday squads post lockdown period.
