Bayern Munich no longer interested in signing Liverpool star Roberto Firmino

Bayern Munich are said to be no longer interested in signing Liverpool star Roberto Firmino whose contract on Merseyside is due to expire at the end of the season.

The Brazil international is reportedly in talks with Liverpool over a new deal but that has not deterred other clubs across Europe from eyeing up a swoop for the experienced forward on a free transfer.

According to a report from the German publication BILD ( via The Daily Mirror), the 31-year-old Firmino is not currently of interest to the Bavarian giants who instead are focussing on a deal for RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer.

Firmino’s future at Anfield remains up in the air after Liverpool spent big on snapping up Darwin Nunez from Benfica last summer and signed Dutch winger Cody Gakpo in another high-profile deal earlier this month.

Jurgen Klopp, however, has sounded keen on retaining Firmino beyond the summer with the Brazilian emerging as one of his best performers in an otherwise inconsistent campaign for Liverpool.
