According to Foot Mercato, Bayern Munich have entered the competition to sign highly-rated midfielder Khephren Thuram from OGC Nice.
The German champions are actively seeking a midfielder to partner with Joshua Kimmich, and Thuram is now among the candidates on their shortlist.
Following a disappointing season where Nice finished ninth in Ligue 1, Thuram has been frequently linked with a departure from the club.
Several potential suitors, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Liverpool, have also shown interest in the newly-capped French international midfielder.
Liverpool are reported to be the most interested in Thuram, as Jurgen Klopp plans to revamp the midfield. However, there have been no talks initiated by the Reds to secure the Frenchman’s signature.

Bayern Munich aims to gain an advantage over other interested parties and is eager to work with Thuram under manager Thomas Tuchel at the Allianz Arena.
Thuram had a notable role within the Nice squad last season, scoring two goals, providing four assists, creating nine significant scoring opportunities, completing 66% of his dribbles, and winning half of his duels.
The 22-year-old’s outstanding performances for Nice may have attracted attention from various European powerhouses, potentially signalling that he may have played his last game for the French club.
Bayern Munich are planning to undergo a midfield clear-out as manager Tuchel aims to establish his own vision for the team following last season’s Bundesliga scare.
Ryan Gravenberch, who joined from Ajax last summer, could potentially leave Bayern after struggling to secure a regular place in the first team.

Marcel Sabitzer, who returned from a loan spell at Manchester United, is also not part of Tuchel’s long-term plans and is expected to depart the club this summer.
Bayern intends to initiate talks to acquire Thuram, but they will need to pay a minimum of €50 million to secure the services of the impressive midfielder.
Additionally, the German giants are focused on their plans to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
