Liverpool in a ‘three-way-race’ for the signing of Juventus star Federico Chiesa

Liverpool have been consistently linked with a potential move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa and faces a ‘three-way-race’ battle with Newcastle and Aston Villa for his signature. Reports first emerged in January, indicating that the Reds were closely monitoring the Italian international.

As the summer transfer window progresses, the speculation surrounding Liverpool’s interest in Chiesa has grown stronger. The club’s potential pursuit of the talented attacker has gained further traction, fueling anticipation among fans and pundits alike.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool have initiated initial discussions with agent Fali Ramadani regarding Chiesa. The Italian forward, who currently plays for Juventus, is said to have lost his status as a key player under manager Max Allegri.

Allegri’s shift to a 3-5-2 formation has not been conducive to Chiesa’s style of play, limiting his ability to showcase his full potential as a second striker or forward.

In light of these circumstances, Chiesa is reportedly exploring the possibility of a move away from Juventus, which has sparked interest from Liverpool. The Reds are believed to be monitoring the situation closely and may consider pursuing a transfer for the 25-year-old.

According to reports, Juventus are open to considering offers of around €60 million (£52 million) for Chiesa. Liverpool are among the clubs closely monitoring the situation with great interest, although they face competition from Newcastle, Man United, and Aston Villa.

Chiesa is highly regarded in Italy and is considered a superstar, having showcased his talents at the highest level. However, it is uncertain if Liverpool sees him as a priority signing at the moment.

The club’s focus appears to be on strengthening their midfield and defence, as they face issues with ageing players and expiring contracts in those areas.
