Brentford manager Thomas Frank has expressed admiration for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian forward delivered a standout performance against the Bees.
Salah, who has been in exceptional form this season with 10 goals and four assists in 12 Premier League games, played a key role in Liverpool’s victory over Brentford, contributing two goals to narrow the gap with league leaders Manchester City.
In the post-match press conference following the game, Frank praised Salah’s consistency and labeled him as one of the best players globally.
The Brentford manager acknowledged the challenges of defending against a player of Salah’s caliber and expressed his belief that the African ace doesn’t receive the recognition he truly deserves.
As quoted by the club’s official website, Frank stated:
“Mo Salah, [Jürgen] Klopp praises him a lot, but I actually don’t know if he gets enough praise. Off the top of my head, there is a chance he’s the best player in the Premier League, potentially.”
“In terms of goals and assists. What a level! He must be one of the best offensive players in the world. Like, not top 10, but top three. So when you have a player of that quality [against you], you just know there is a problem.”
Salah is undeniably among the world’s best players, boasting remarkable goal-scoring statistics. While he has been a crucial factor in Liverpool’s success, considering he is now 31, there’s growing consideration about the need for a replacement who can consistently find the back of the net in the coming years.
Despite the Egyptian winger’s current fitness and potential longevity, Klopp’s style of play, emphasizing high-pressing and energy, raises questions about how long he can maintain his peak performance for Liverpool.

The former AS Roma star faced strong transfer speculation last summer, with Al-Ittihad expressing interest, though the Reds successfully retained him.
However, ongoing interest from Al-Ittihad raises the possibility of the club selling Salah in the near future. If such a scenario unfolds, the Merseyside club will likely seek a world-class replacement.
The upcoming transfer window will be crucial in determining the attacker’s future and Liverpool’s subsequent moves in the market.
