Brighton boss Graham Potter brands Liverpool’s front four as the ‘best’

The Reds’ attacking quartet of Mohammad Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, and Roberto Firmino, were labelled as the best in world football by Brighton boss Graham Potter ahead of Saturday’s meeting between the Seagulls and Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool FC harboured an attacking frontline of Mane, Salah, and Firmino until last season, with the trio helping the Merseysiders clinch the Premier League crown after a gap of 30 years.

However, following Jota’s arrival at Anfield this summer from Wolves and the 23-year-old’s subsequent form in front of the goal being brilliant of late, Klopp has been encouraged to play all four attackers in his Liverpool FC lineup, resulting in a more offensive style of play from the Merseysiders.

Potter in his pre-game interview admitted that Jota’s inclusion to the Reds attacking line made the defending Premier League champions even more lethal when going forward due to the latter being a perfect fit to Klopp’s setup at Anfield.

“He (Diogo Jota) fits in really well there, with what they’re trying to do, gives them another dimension and be able to play with a front four.

“Maybe with Mo Salah up front and Firmino as a 10 – that can work. You’ve probably got the best front four in world football arguably so credit to Liverpool. They’ve identified someone who they think can help strengthen and I think he’s done that.

“They’re a formidable attacking unit that’s for sure and the team behind them of course but those four are very dangerous.”

All four of the Reds’ aforementioned attacking stars are expected to line up at the Amex on Saturday afternoon following both Firmino and Jota having been rested by Klopp for the midweek loss in the Champions League to Atalanta.
