Brighton vs Liverpool Preview & Team News | EPL 20-21

Liverpool FC’s 2-0 loss to Atalanta in Wednesday night’s Champions League fixture would surely come as a wakeup call for Jurgen Klopp’s men ahead of a visit to the Amex over this weekend.

The Merseysiders were handed a shock loss at home turf by their Italian opponents, however, the hosts were missing a number of first-team regulars for the mid-week clash, some of whom will surely return to the starting XI for the game against the Seagulls.

Klopp will be eagerly hoping for his players to bounce back from the defeat to Atalanta with a solid showing at the Amex, a ground which has seen some positive performances from the Reds over the last few years.

Liverpool FC looked rather out of sorts in their overall display on Wednesday night but with several first-team names not on the roster, an off-day was certainly affordable for Klopp’s side.

But momentum will have to be regained by the defending champions as Liverpool FC occupy the joint top spot in the league standings for now, level with Tottenham Hotspurs on 20 points each, with the latter facing a tough test in the form of Chelsea on Sunday.
