Cesc Fabregas believes Liverpool Hit the Jackpot with Klopp Appointment

Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas claimed that Premier League giants Liverpool hit the jackpot with the appointment charismatic manager Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp arrived at the Merseyside club in October 2015 and led the club to the finals of the EFL Cup and Europa League by the end of the season but both of which ended in defeats for the Reds.

Another heartbreak followed in the 2017-18 Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kyiv, but 12 months later Liverpool beat Tottenham to be crowned champions of Europe for a sixth time in their illustrious history.

Liverpool finished as runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League last year (2018-19) and missed out on the title by just one solitary point. However, this season, Liverpool is 25 points clear of Pep Guardiola’s men when the season was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Spanish World Cup winner Cesc Fabregas has been thoroughly impressed with what he has seen of the Reds under the charismatic German coach.

Responding to a fans question on a Twitter during a Q&A, Fabregas wrote: “[Liverpool are an] outstanding club that hit the jackpot hiring Klopp and giving him the right players and time to build something very special.”

Klopp is currently motivating his troops with the video conference calls almost every single day. While keeping in touch with his squad, the 52-year-old German also takes part in the yoga sessions at times. Liverpool are set to be crowned as Premier League champions for the first time in 30 years upon the resumption of the English top-flight as they need only six points to guarantee the title.
