A handful of clubs from the Championship as well as Germany are reportedly keen on moving in for Liverpool first-team defender Nat Phillips in the summer transfer window.
Phillips is backed to leave the Anfield fold before the next season kicks off with the centre-back unlikely to secure regular game time under Jurgen Klopp’s charge in the upcoming campaign.
He was shipped out on loan to AFC Bournemouth last term and his showings were key to the Cherries securing promotion to the top flight which makes the Liverpool fringe player a wanted name in the transfer market this summer.
According to a report from Goal, Phillips could be next in line to follow Ben Davies out of Anfield with the latter closing in on signing for Scottish giants Rangers in a £3 million deal with another £1 million in add-ons.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to trim down his squad size and cash in on the deadwood with Davies, who has not made a single senior outing in the Liverpool shirt since his January 2021 transfer to the Reds, set to head out the exit door.
