Reds Confident Divock Origi Will Sign A Contract Extension

Premier League side Liverpool are confident that their star forward Divock Origi will put pen to paper and sign a new long term contract with the club.

Although Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are the trusted three striker force that Jurgen Klopp heavily relies on, Liverpool has had a superb backup striker in the form of Divock Origi. The Belgian forward delivered whenever he was called upon and played one of the most crucial roles for Liverpool to win the Champions League title this season.

The Liverpool forward scored the winning goal in the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur to put the game to bed and bring the European Cup back to Anfield for the sixth time in the club’s illustrious history. Origi also scored a few dramatic last gasp winners in the Premier League by coming off the bench but the 24-year-old is entering the final year of his current deal with Liverpool and the Merseyside outfit are considering handing the striker a contract extension.

Another key factor that Origi brings to the team is hard work and belief, two attributes that fit in perfectly for a player that wants to play under Klopp. The star forward has impressed the coaching staff with his attitude and on-field displays and that will reportedly earn him a brand new long term contract which will keep him at Anfield for the next five years.

Origi is currently on holiday and will return to pre-season training next week along with the majority of the other Liverpool squad. And the Reds are confident that Origi will sign a new deal to remain at Liverpool for the next few seasons after his unlikely renaissance over the past few months.
