Confirmed Lineups: Aston Villa vs Liverpool-Alisson ruled out of Villa Park showdown | EPL 20-21

Alisson Becker is a late injury absence for Liverpool FC’s trip to the Midlands for an away fixture at Aston Villa.

The Brazilian goalkeeper, Liverpool FC’s first-choice between the sticks, misses out and is replaced by Adrian in goal as Jurgen Klopp’s men will be hoping to make it four wins out of as many games against Villa on a Sunday afternoon.

In the absence of Sadio Mane, who was ruled out of the Aston Villa clash after testing positive for COVID-19, a first Premier League start is awarded to new summer signing Diogo Jota.

A familiar four-man defence of Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, and Robertson is fielded by Klopp and Jordan Henderson features on the bench as the Liverpool FC skipper continues to work his way to full fitness ahead of the international break.

Replacing Henderson in the centre of the park is Naby Keita who slots into the midfield role alongside Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum. Academy graduates Neco Williams and Curtis Jones, both of whom are now first-team players at Anfield, are on the bench too as is the attacking pair of Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.
