Curtis Jones Not Considering Liverpool Exit Anytime Soon

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has explained why he has no intention of leaving the Reds anytime soon as his progress under manager Jurgen Klopp is evident, stating that the club is ‘perfect’ for his development.

Curtis Jones is highly rated by Liverpool at the club as the academy graduate is tipped for success in the future. At just 19 years of age, Jones enjoyed a stellar breakthrough season in 2019-20 especially in the FA Cup run for Liverpool.

The young attacking midfielder scored twice in the FA Cup, both goals incidentally crucial for Liverpool to progress through to the next stages of the competition. To add to that, Jones also scored the winning penalty in the shootout against Arsenal earlier in the tournament making eight appearances across all competitions for Liverpool.

With the presence of star players like Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and a number of talented attackers itching to get a starting spot, Jones has been tipped for a move away from Anfield to get some regular football elsewhere.

But despite the top-quality players at Liverpool, the teenage winger believes that the Merseyside club provides a perfect opportunity for him to develop as a player under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp.

While speaking to the club’s official website local boy Jones revealed his ambition to remain at ‘perfect’ Liverpool, “I think it’s perfect for me. I don’t think I’d be as successful under a different type of manager and a different team. With his staff, I think for me to be the player that I want to become and I see myself becoming, I think Jurgen, Pep, Pete and the rest of the staff are the perfect ones for me in terms of the belief they have in me, in terms of their philosophy, how they play and even their aims and their goals.”
