Curtis Jones Signs Long Term Deal With Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has signed a new long term contract with the club which will keep him committed at Anfield for quite a while.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is looking an extremely strong unit at the moment especially after winning the Champions League and following that with the UEFA Super Cup win as well. The Reds have also made a strong start to life in the Premier League after they beat Norwich City in the opening day of the Premier League.

Liverpool will be competing against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City for the Premiership as the blue half of Manchester are breaking records galore in England’s top flight. But Klopp wants to challenge Guardiola on a season by season basis and has strengthened his side by tying them down at Anfield to contracts in the future.

The most recent player that has committed his long term future at the red half of Merseyside is teenage superstar Curtis Jones. The 18-year-old winger joined the club since his U-9 days and has gone through the academy ranks to make it through to the senior set up.

Jones is a local Liverpool lad and expressed his delight at signing his new long term contract with the club as he spoke to Liverpoolfc.com and said, “For me, it’s massive. Being a local lad, my dream is to play for this amazing club. To see that the manager and staff have got a belief in me and have offered me a new contract, I’m absolutely buzzing. At the point I’m at now in my career I think it’s very important to make decisions slowly. But this one was easy and straightforward. I’m happy to put pen to paper and I’m ready to kick on from here. As I said, being a local lad it’s a dream just to play for the club. To have been offered another long-term contract, I’m absolutely buzzing and I can’t wait to get started.”
