Darwin Nunez could miss out on the trip to Brighton with an injury

Darwin Nunez could miss out on the trip to Brighton with an injury with the Liverpool striker reportedly picking up a knock to add to the increasing injury concerns at Anfield.

The Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been without both Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz for the majority of the season with the experienced frontman Roberto Firmino also being unavailable since the restart of club football due to a calf injury.

According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that Liverpool could be in for a fresh injury setback ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brighton with Darwin Nunez emerging as a doubt on the fitness front.

The Uruguayan has sat out training in the last few days with the 23-year-old likely to face a race against time to prove his match fitness to Klopp for Saturday’s Premier League fixture on the south Coast against the Seagulls.

Liverpool’s defensive colossus, Virgil van Dijk, is another key player who will be missing from the weekend’s clash after the Dutchman picked up a hamstring injury in the defeat to Brentford.
