With Divock Origi currently finding himself on the fringes of the Liverpool FC first-team squad, the Belgian international is being linked with a move to his homeland when the winter transfer window opens in January.
According to recent reports from 90Min, Club Brugge are reportedly keen on signing the cult Reds striker following Origi’s limited involvement with Jurgen Klopp’s side since the start of the 2020-21 season. The Belgian club are hoping to lure Origi away from Anfield on a loan deal with the promise of guaranteed first-team opportunities.
With an already established frontline at Anfield in the form of Salah-Firmino-Mane and Diogo Jota’s brilliant run of form following his move to the Merseyside outfit from Wolves this summer, Origi may find it very difficult to garner minutes on the pitch ahead of the 2021 UEFA Euros.
The 25-year-old is understood to be eager on making the cut for the Belgian squad in time for next year’s Euros, and leaving Liverpool FC on a short-term loan move may work wonders for his inclusion in Roberto Martinez’s Belgium squad.
