Ex-England defender states Adama Traore is good enough for Liverpool first-team squad

Former Manchester City star Joleon Lescott believes that Wolves attacker Adama Traore is good enough to play for the top clubs across Europe. Recent rumors have suggested that the Spaniard could be on his way to Liverpool FC this summer amid interest from the Reds in signing the Wolves star. However, his £80 million price-tag essentially means that the Merseyside club would not have any interest in pursuing his transfer ahead of next season.

Lescott voiced his admiration for the 24-year old Traore’s ability on the pitch, which has improved drastically over the past couple of seasons. The Spanish winger has emerged as one of the most explosive attackers in the Premier League in recent times.

According to the ex-England center-back, Traore’s quality could easily allow him to break into the first-team squads of Liverpool FC or Manchester City FC. It has to be noted that the aforementioned sides have some of the greatest attacking options in world football at the moment.

“Adama Traore has the ability to play for any side in club football.”

“Traore could easily play for a Manchester City or Liverpool. I have never seen such speed and strength on a football pitch before.

The sheer speed displayed by the 24-year old Wolves star on the flanks has been a major presence of his style of play. Coupled with his incredible strength both on and off the ball, Traore has become a fearsome opponent for full-backs in the English top-flight league.

Liverpool FC’s very own Andy Roberton too had suffered the same fate when the Scot came up against Traore during the Reds’ encounter against Wolves last December. The left-back was often caught in no man’s land when defending against the Spanish winger who had grabbed an assist for his side that night.

Following the game, several star players of Jurgen Klopp’s side had heaped praise on Traore’s rising stock as a fantastic player. Liverpool FC skipper Jordan Henderson had hailed the impact of the 24-year old Spaniard on his side, whereas Roberton had termed Traore to be the toughest opponent he had faced in his career, putting him in the same bracket as former Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard.
