Fabio Carvalho Confirms His Summer Plans Amid Strong Message To Klopp

Liverpool attacker Fabio Carvalho has confirmed that he will be returning to Anfield for pre-season training.

Fabio Carvalho and Klopp

The Portuguese youngster has talked about his summer plans as he thanks Jurgen Klopp for giving him the chance to play with such a world-class squad.

The 21-year-old moved to Liverpool after a spectacular season with Fulham in 2022. The Cottagers were promoted back to the Premier League thanks to some splendid displays from Carvalho.

He was welcomed to Anfield by Klopp in what was seen as an exciting piece of transfer. Still, the versatile player has clocked just 638 minutes of gameplay across 21 appearances for the club.

He was allowed to leave on loan to German side RB Leipzig last summer. However, he was unable to gain regular game time and return to Anfield.

Carvalho was given another opportunity to prove himself as he moved to Hull City on loan. The Portuguese star has fared well with four goals in 11 appearances.

The player was asked about his plans for the forthcoming season and whether he wants to return to Liverpool. While talking to A Bola, he said:

“I went to Liverpool because I want to be the best player in the world. It’s a very strong group, both on and off the pitch, who have taken me in as one of their own. I’m very grateful to them and to Mr Klopp. Yes, in the pre-season (plans to return to Anfield).”

Carvalho’s career at Liverpool has been underwhelming. He has a lot of talent and can turn into a top player if given regular playing time.

The youngster needs time and it’s a pity that he has been handed limited minutes. The fans need to be patient as in case they did with Darwin Nunez.

We believe that Carvalho will be hungry to prove himself this preseason and make a place for himself in the starting XI.
