Liverpool are on the road next to FC Porto in the Champions League group stage matchday 2 on Tuesday night for Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders.
The Reds were involved in a highly entertaining 3-3 draw against the league’s new boys Brentford in their last outing over the weekend with Klopp’s men unable to seal the three points from their fixture away from home turf.
Hoping to make it two wins out of two in their group stage commitments will be key for Liverpool who brushed aside AC Milan in an evenly-contested 3-2 affair in their opening game of the competition.
Their forthcoming opponents FC Porto got their Champions League campaign underway with a hard-fought stalemate against La Liga holders Atletico Madrid and Sergio Conceicao’s side could prove to be a tricky test for Liverpool.
An unbeaten start to the new season, however, does make Liverpool the favourites to secure the win from Tuesday’s game despite coming up against a team who too are yet to end up on the losing side early on in this campaign.

Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita were the major concerns on the injury front for Jurgen Klopp with the midfield pairing sidelined for the last outing at Brentford.
Klopp could be in line to rotate his defensive lineup with Andy Robertson likely to give way to Kostas Tsimikas in the left-back role while Ibrahima Konate will be hoping to make it to the starting teamsheet for the midweek contest.
MATCH PREDICTION
Liverpool hope to return to winning ways and a stern test awaits them in the Champions League, however, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be strongly backed to take the three points from the fixture and remain top of the group table.
