FSG Face Difficulty In Luring Michael Edwards Back To Anfield

Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool have quite a balancing task in their way of getting Michael Edwards back to Anfield. The owners of Liverpool claimed they will aim to convince Edwards into a comeback, at least in an advisory capacity, as he recently departed his position as Sporting Director last year after spending more than ten years with the club. 

FSG has given the consideration of handing the newly senior role to Edwards, which would see him responsible for supervising the process of appointing two fresh Reds sporting director and manager. Also, Jorg Schmadtke, the former managing director, has left his job, and then, after the end of the season, Jurgen Klopp, the current manager, will leave.

FSG understands the arduous task in Edwards’ mind to change his decision to leave for good. However, the owners and managers do not shy away from their attempts to re-sign him for the team. During his reign at the helm of Liverpool, Edwards’ performance was of a satisfactory standard, which made him a highly sought before person.
