Fulham close in on signing Liverpool forward Harry Wilson

Liverpool wide player Harry Wilson is poised to seal his move away from Anfield very soon with the Wales international closing in on signing for Championship outfit Fulham.

Reports from The Independent claim that the 24-year-old Wilson who has been heavily linked with a departure from Merseyside in this summer’s transfer window is set to secure a move to Craven Cottage.

Fulham had leapt ahead of the likes of Brentford and Cardiff City in the widely-contested race to land the coveted signature of the Liverpool man who is surplus to requirements at Anfield upon his return from a season-long loan stint at Cardiff across the previous campaign.

Jurgen Klopp has been backed to offload a couple of fringe players within his Liverpool camp and with Marko Grujic signing for FC Porto, Wilson is next in line to follow the Serbian international midfielder on his way out of Anfield ahead of the start of the new season.

There had been no shortage of suitors for the Welsh forward over the course of this summer window but Liverpool had been firm on getting a £10 million transfer fee for sanctioning the player’s sale.
