Harvey Elliott Wants To Become a Liverpool Legend

Liverpool’s teenage superstar Harvey Elliott has revealed that he wants to become a club legend like former Reds’ captain Steven Gerrard.

Elliott became the youngest player to start a competitive game for the Reds when they faced MK Dons in the FA Cup in September.

The star winger made history in May 2019 when he became the youngest player to ever play in a Premier League game, featuring for London side Fulham at the age of 16 years and 30 days.

Liverpool snapped up the teenager in the transfer window last summer and he has continued to show his potential at Merseyside, becoming the youngest player to ever start a competitive game for Liverpool last year.

Overall, the 17-year-old forward has made seven first-team appearances for Liverpool in the 2019-20 season and has been tipped to have an incredibly bright future with the club under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp

Elliott has outlined some of his ambitious dreams with Liverpool in an interview with the club’s official website, saying he would prefer to emulate Steven Gerrard and become a legend at Anfield in the upcoming years.

When asked about his aspirations with Liverpool, Elliott replied that he wants to win everything with the Reds and be remembered as a legend, “To win everything with this club. I strive to be like Steven Gerrard, to be as big of a legend here like him.”

Elliott further added that he wants to help the club accomplish great things in the future, “I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League with this amazing club. For me, that’s what I strive towards and I want to help the club in every way possible to accomplish these things.”
