Official- Liverpool Sign Harvey Elliot

Champions League winners Liverpool have completed the signing of Fulham wonder-kid Harvey Elliot from Fulham earlier this week.

Jurgen Klopp stated that he wants to build a really strong team for the future with Liverpool as he plans on remaining at the club until the summer of 2023. The German has tied down his star players on long term deals and following the Champions League victory, Klopp wants his players to use the success to build a platform for the future to win more silverware in the upcoming few seasons.

The Reds finished just one single point behind Manchester City last season in the race for the Premier League title but Klopp is eager to dethrone Pep Guardiola’s team as champions of England. In order to do so, the 52-year-old manager needs to downsize and strengthen every department with back up players that can fill in with no problems whatsoever.

Liverpool has had a relatively quiet transfer window this summer as they made only Dutch defender Sepp Van Den Berg their only signing until Harvey Elliot joined the Reds this week.

Elliot was the youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League when he came on as a substitute for Fulham against Wolverhampton Wanderers back in May at a tender age of 16 years and 30 days. The teenager has been renowned for his incredible skill and pace along with the ability to score goals.

After Fulham went down with the relegation, Elliot’s contract with the London club expired and there were many top clubs in the European continent that were keen on his signature. But Liverpool has won the race and signed the teenager on a free transfer this summer.
