‘High-flying’ Fulham Left-back Antonee Robinson Tipped For Liverpool Transfer

Former Liverpool ace Owen Hargreaves believes Fulham defender Antonee Robinson could be a solid addition to either the Reds or Chelsea this summer.

The American left-back has been in fine form for the Cottagers this season as he provided his sixth assist against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Due to his solid display for Marco Silva’s side, Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool have now started monitoring the 26-year-old.

Former ace Hargreaves believes that Robinson will be an elite player for either of these English clubs. According to him, he can operate the entire left-back on his own and this is a really useful trait for a defender.

As quoted by Football London, he said:

“He is almost covering the whole left-hand side on his own. But if you can get these numbers, if you can get six assists by March, you put yourself in an elite category. He is performing at an elite level.”

“I think he could, yeah. I think he has the capacity and capability. If he is adding those types of numbers in a team that isn’t the most attacking, then it makes you think he could step up one more level.”

Robinson could be an interesting addition to any top clubs but we believe that he should be given more chances to prove himself in the Premier League.

Although he is 26, and has experience under his belt, making a big jump won’t guarantee him a direct starting XI spot. Liverpool have Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Bradley in the same position.

While the former is injured, he will be getting his place once he returns. Bradley has also been impressed with his pace and an eye for goals.

Hence, it won’t be easy to displace either of these two players. Robinson might get an opening if there are any potential departures in the summer.
