“Hope Liverpool Have An Off Day”, Says Cardiff City Boss

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has already accepted that he has quite an impossible task on his desk on Saturday as his side faces a high flying Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool currently sits second on the Premier League table but level on points with title rivals Manchester City. However, Pep Guardiola’s team currently has the better goal difference at the moment but with the Reds firing on all cylinders that lead could well be reduced this weekend.

The Merseyside giant’s hosts Welsh outfit Cardiff City on Saturday as Premier League action returns but Neil Warnock is not too confident about his side traveling to Anfield at this time. Cardiff City is currently in 16th place on the English Premier League table and faces a Liverpool team that is hungry to score goals having netted four past Red Star Belgrade in their Champions League encounter on Wednesday night.

While speaking to news outlet BBC, the 69-year-old English manager waxed lyrical about Liverpool’s front three ahead of the encounter on the weekend hoping that Liverpool has an off day. Warnock said, “We’ve all got to play at the top of our potential to give them a good game and hope they have an off day, I think their front three [Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane] is probably the best in the world.”

However, the manager who tasted his first victory in the Premier League this season last week added that his side needs to be positive and cause them problems, “But I think we can go there and cause problems,  hope the lads are looking forward to it – it’s a special place in football, a remarkable place. It’s massive.”

Liverpool is currently finding their feet at the right moment as are they’re forward players. Fabinho’s debut in the Champions League was quite phenomenal and the Brazilian will be hoping to start his second game in three days this weekend.

The Reds have also conceded just three goals this season and the last time that a goal was scored in the Premier League at Anfield by an opposition was back in February of this year.

Score Prediction- Liverpool 4-0 Cardiff City.
