James Milner Opens Up On Jurgen Klopp

English midfielder James Milner has stated that Jurgen Klopp’s exuberant antics on the touchline are part and parcel of an authentic package that helps drive Liverpool forward.

The Reds tasted success in the Champions League for their maiden trophy under manager Klopp in the summer and have managed to win their opening eight Premier League games in a row this term to stir their hopes of a first Premier League title since 1990.

The 52-year-old German took charge of the reigns at Liverpool back in October 2015 and has gotten the Reds back to the summit of the table with the fans and players enjoying their time so far.

Animated celebrations and the sideline theatrics have gained Klopp admirers as well as critics and while that has become a hallmark of his managerial make-up, Liverpool midfielder Milner insists that Klopp’s behavior is genuine.

Now the most senior player in Klopp’s squad at 33 years of age, Milner told the club’s official website that Klopp does not care of the camera’s in front of him, “The biggest thing with the manager is that what you see is what you get, He doesn’t have one front for the cameras and then he’s completely different with the players.”

Milner went on the explain that Klopp is honest with his players despite it being an arm on the shoulders or a firing in the dressing room, “He’s honest with the players and he lives every minute of it. He’s on the side and he’s bouncing around, he wants to be out there. That energy’s big for us when we’re down. He seems to judge it right when to put an arm around the shoulder after a game. If we haven’t played well or something he knows what to say at half-time, or if you need a rocket he’ll give you that as well.”
