Jamie Redknapp believes Spurs clash to be a tough one for title challengers Liverpool

Former Liverpool man Jamie Redknapp believes that Jurgen Klopp’s title challengers would find it tough going when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the final stages of the league campaign.

The 2-2 draw at the Eithad in Sunday’s high-billed top of the table contest meant that Liverpool are still a point adrift of the leaders Manchester City with only seven more games to play for.

Liverpool are set to play hosts to a high-flying Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield come the 7th of May and ex-Reds skipper Redknapp reckons the fixture to be a stern challenge for Jordan Henderson and Co.

Antonio Conte’s North Londoners have been in fine form as of late and their showings have put out the signals that they are making a serious push to secure a top-four berth at the expense of the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Redknapp admitted that the race for the Premier League crown between Manchester City and Liverpool was too tight to call with the Spurs showdown set to be a crunch game.

“I find this title race impossible to call.

“I’ve got this feeling Liverpool v Tottenham on May 7 will be significant. Can (Jurgen) Klopp’s crew navigate that one? That might be the match which poses them a major problem.”
