Jurgen Klopp has tipped his defensive midfield man Fabinho to feature in the forthcoming league outing against Arsenal on Saturday.
The Brazil international was missing from team training following his 90-minute involvement against Argentina in the recently held nil-nil stalemate during the international break.
Concerns on the injury front have been on the rise for Liverpool in the aftermath of the break but Jurgen Klopp expects Fabinho to make the squad for Liverpool despite the latter’s late return to the first-team fold from his Brazil duty, according to reports from the club’s official website.
“Fab only came back late and he did recovery. So I hope he can train today, that’s the plan,” Klopp explained.
“I didn’t hear anything different yet, but in the end, we all have to wait until tomorrow.”
Liverpool have the likes of Curtis Jones, Naby Keita and James Milner sidelined for the weekend game at Anfield with the midfield trio on the recovery table since prior to the international break.
Skipper Jordan Henderson, however, is backed to feature in spite of fears over a potential groin injury for the former Sunderland man who withdrew from the England fold and headed back to Merseyside earlier than expected.
