Jurgen Klopp Is Delighted With His New Summer Signing In Preseason Session

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seems delighted with Sepp Van Den Berg whois the latest arrival at the club after the first preseason training session.

The Dutch defender made the move from PEC Zwolle to Anfield earlier this week in a £1.3 million transfer fee and completed his initial training exercise today. After the usual lactate tests and physical exercises at Melwood, the 17-year-old central defender joined his teammates in a training session to get used to life at Liverpool.

Fitting into a team that has just won the Champions League title would never be an easy task but Van Den Berg looked quite positive in his new surroundings and his managed gave a detailed explanation of how he expects the teenager to fit into the club.

While speaking to Liverpoofc.com, the 52-year-old Klopp explained that he is a big talent and a young boy but taking the challenge is admirable, “He is a big talent but a young boy and we already have a good team, He took the challenge, he really wanted to be part of this and I’m really happy for him.”

The German manager then went on to add that Liverpool will look to make signings for the future to build a team but the first impressions of having the 17-year-old around were quite joyous, “We make signings for immediately or for the future and it’s always about the boys, what they make of it. The first impression here was really good and I’m happy to have him around.”
