Jurgen Klopp lavishes praise on his star forward Mohamed Salah

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has lavished praise on his star forward Mohamed Salah who has been in flying form this new season for the Anfield giants.

The Egyptian has been terrific for Liverpool as of late and produced another screamer of a goal on Saturday in the 5-0 win over the Premier League’s new boys Watford at Vicarage Road.

Salah set up his attacking partner Sadio Mane for the opening goal of the afternoon showdown before getting on the scoresheet himself early on in the second half.

Despite the speculation remaining rife over Salah’s long-term future on Merseyside beyond the next summer window amid his contract extension talks running into a stalemate, there is no doubt that he is the main man for Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds boss was quite generous in his praise for the 29-year-old Salah in his post-match remarks with Klopp admitting that the forward was at the very top level of his game alongside other star names in world football.

“He’s for a while already on that level. Of course, he improves, that’s good. He is in his age where you can still improve, and he’s doing that constantly. You saw the first goal that he set up for Sadio today, that is an outstanding pass. He brought that, I don’t know, from the summer break. After that, he started doing these kinds of things.

“How I said, we don’t have hours and hours and hours to train different things. But the boys improve their game by themselves. The consistency he delivers, all this kind of stuff, maybe people just now start seeing it – it was always there. He plays for us, I don’t know, for five years now but it’s absolutely incredible the way he performs since he’s here.

“He’s in the top, top five since he is at Liverpool pretty much. And now he is the best in that moment. The big thing between Cristiano and Messi was that nobody had a doubt about it for years, but Mo is already on the top level for years as well and there’s still a lot to come from him because of his desire. He just wants to perform on a top-class level.”
