The visitors were raring to go right from the opening whistle and it looked only a matter of time before Liverpool got on the scoresheet against the league’s new boys Watford.

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s man in form, produced a fantastic pass to set Sadio Mane up for the opener with the latter slotting his finish past Ben Foster.

Mane then played a crucial role in Liverpool scoring their second as he send Milner down the edge of the box who squared the ball for the lurking Roberto Firmino to find the back of the net.

Jurgen Klopp’s men proved equally dangerous after the half-time break and Firmino was on target once again to bring up his brace for the afternoon.

Salah switched on his gears and was at his brilliant best inside the Watford penalty area, wiggling past defenders, and curling his effort past a helpless Ben Foster to make it 4-0 for the Reds.

Watford had their first chance on goal through Cucho Hernandez who raced forward but could not trouble Caoimhin Kelleher as he put his effort wide.

Substitute Neco Williams got into action quite early after his arrival off the bench in the dying embers of the game and set up Firmino for his third goal with a simple tap in.
