Jurgen Klopp Claims Burnley Win Was The Most Deserved One of The Season So Far

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has explained that the recent 3-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor was the most deserving victory of the season for the Reds so far.

The Merseyside giants returned to the summit of the Premier League table as they are still the only team with a 100 percent record still in tact after four games. Liverpool broke another record in terms of successive games in a row after the win against the Clarets having won 13 on the trot in England’s top flight.

Trent Alexander Arnold opened the scoring in fluke fashion for the visitors as his cross to a deflection to loop over Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope in goal. Senegalese forward Sadio Mane then doubled Liverpool’s lead a few minutes later while Roberto Firmino killed the game off later on in the second period.

Liverpool head into the international break sitting pretty at the top of the table and have 12 points out of a possible 12 making good ground to try and pick up the Premier League title at the end of the season.

The 52-year-old German manager was quite pleased with his teams to display and hailed the front three for performing the way they are at the moment despite not having a proper preseason. Klopp said, “If you ask me four weeks ago I wouldn’t expect it would happen. We had a tricky pre-season. No pre-season for the front three but they still deliver. So far, so good.”
