Jurgen Klopp Rules Out Kylian Mbappe Transfer

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that the European champions have “absolutely no chance” of signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar forward Kylian Mbappe anytime in the near future.

The 20-year-old World Cup winner has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions in order for a new challenge and Premier League giants Liverpool have emerged as a potential suitor for Mbappe despite the ongoing interest from Real Madrid.

There are reports which claim that Jurgen Klopp might need to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window in order to compete on all fronts against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City but the German has dismissed any of those rumors linking the PSG talisman to Anfield.

Speaking ahead of the mega clash against Manchester City on Sunday, the 52-year-old admitted that it is near impossible to buy a player like Mbappe. Klopp was asked about the French wonder-kid and replied, “Buying this caliber of player is difficult. I don’t see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG, I don’t see any club, that is how it is. And we are involved in the clubs that cannot do it. It is as easy as that.

Klopp then stated that it would be no chance to sign Mbappe because Liverpool cannot afford to purchase him due to his incredible ability, “Okay, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him. What a player he is. But it is about money of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story.”

The Merseyside giants were quiet during the previous transfer window, opting against adding any plenty of big-name superstars to the first team but Liverpool is still at the top of the Premier League table, sitting six points ahead of 2nd placed Manchester City.
