Jurgen Klopp Warns His Squad Ahead Of Arsenal Clash At The Weekend

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has asked for his players to make the most out of their week-long break before a difficult encounter against Arsenal at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is slowly but surely finding their feet over the past few weeks but what is more important is the fact that the Merseyside club is also grinding out results in their favor. Having thrashed promoted side Cardiff City 4-1 at Anfield the Saturday, Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League until Manchester City faces Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.

The Reds are currently unbeaten in the English top flight even after facing Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea but their resilience will once again be put to test when they will travel to the Emirates to face Unai Emery’s Arsenal side that is currently unbeaten in 12 games across all competitions.

The Gunners have won the past 11 out of their 12 matches with Unai Emery’s decision making coming under the highlights. The Spaniard has transformed Arsenal well under his reign but he has a mid-week League Cup game against Blackpool ahead of hosting Liverpool at North London on Saturday.

And Jurgen Klopp has a message for his squad about how he just wants his boys to get a result against the 4th placed English side.

While speaking to journalists the 51-year-old German manager wants his squad to prepare well during the week for the game against Arsenal, “The next game is away at Arsenal. I don’t think we will worry about how many goals we will score, we just have to get a result there.  The boys have a rest in their mind and can start the preparation. Look at the international players. They have been playing every three games with us or the national team.  Now we have a normal week. There is no Carabao Cup so we have to use it.”

Liverpool has done extremely well against the top side’s so far but Arsenal has some really strong momentum going their way at the moment. However, not being in the League Cup allows Liverpool a fresh week ahead of a crunch clash with the Gunners with hopefully no injuries and fatigue.
