Juventus eye Roberto Firmino in swap deal with Liverpool for Adrien Rabiot

Juventus eye Roberto Firmino in a swap deal with Liverpool for Adrien Rabiot who has emerged on the transfer radar at Anfield for this summer’s transfer window, according to Italian news outlet CMW.

Rabiot’s name is said to be one scouted by the Liverpool camp in recent weeks with Jurgen Klopp backed by many to bolster his options in the heart of the midfield before the new season gets underway.

With the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita heading into their final 12 months of stay on Merseyside, Klopp could be dipping back into the transfer market this summer to bring in a fresh face for his midfield ranks.

Rumours of late had suggested that Liverpool were open to including Naby Keita in a swap deal for the Frenchman Adrien Rabiot but Juventus are reportedly asking for the forward Roberto Firmino to be the player included instead in the swap offer.

Firmino struggled with recurring injury troubles last season at Anfield and was unable to secure a regular berth on the team sheet but the Brazil international remains one of Klopp’s most trusted options in the final third of the pitch.
