Khephren Thuram, who is said to be a former Liverpool player, is now set to join Juventus.
The Nice midfielder, heavily rumored as a Red target during last summer, now appears highly likely to take his talents to Italy.
Liverpool, in their need to revamp the midfield, had to settle for Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo—all signed last summer.
This change of focus didn’t bring about the Thuram move.
Thuram is only 21 years old and with only one more year attached to his contract under Nice.
Talking about an interesting profile, he is also the son of France’s 1998 World Cup-winning defender, Lilian Thuram, and the brother of Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram.
With Nice keen on not losing him on a free transfer, his price has been dropped from £42 million to £21 million.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano writes that Thuram has agreed to personal terms with Juventus, and now the two clubs are in the very last phase of the deal.
Juventus are very much eager to consolidate their midfield, as Adrien Rabiot has already left and is at the moment a free agent, but might reconsider rejoining the Old club.
In addition, Juventus have also suffered a four-year doping ban for Paul Pogba and suspension for Nicolo Fagioli, who just came back with only two games remaining in their Serie A campaign.
Liverpool has not done any operation of interest yet in the transfer market, but several players linked with the club can bring something to the squad.
Among the names are Riccardo Calafiori, Joshua Kimmich, and Nico Williams, who did a great job at Euro 2024.
There were also reports that Newcastle United offered Anthony Gordon to Liverpool due to their PSR issues, although this situation has been resolved for now.
However, Liverpool could revisit this opportunity later in the summer.
As Juventus finish the deal for Khephren Thuram, Liverpool will take their time to consider and take some really decisive actions about how to improve their side for the upcoming season and bolster their squad.
