Klopp suggests Alisson could return to the Liverpool XI for weekend meeting with Fulham

As Liverpool FC gear up to visit Craven Cottage on Sunday to face Fulham, Jurgen Klopp’s side could have the first-choice goalie Alisson Becker back between the sticks as the Brazillian international return to training on Friday.

Alisson had been missing from the Liverpool FC lineup over the past three games following him sustaining a minor hamstring blow, however, his absence in the goal was filled in by a series of consistent showings from the 22-year-old Caoimhin Kelleher.

Klopp, in his pre-match interview, said that if Alisson return to first-team training on Friday goes according to the desired plans, the Brazillian would be in line to start Sunday’s Premier League fixture away at Fulham.

“Ali will train today, that’s what I’ve heard. I came in and came directly to the press [conference] so all the meetings are after that and yes, Ali will train and if he trains and all fine, then he can play,” said the German coach.

The Merseysiders have been handed a number of injury boosts in recent weeks, with Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander Arnold also staging a return to the on-field action after considerable time on the sidelines owing to respective injury layoffs.
