Kylian Mbappe Would Make Liverpool Extremely Scary

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has explained that Jurgen Klopp should go all out and sign French star Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window if Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino leaves the club.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are currently monitoring the situation of 28-year-old Roberto Firmino following the stellar displays of the forward for the Premier League leaders. Reports claim that the German champions are set to make a massive £75 million offer to sign Firmino in the summer and it could impact the Reds deeply.

Firmino has been absolutely instrumental in aiding Liverpool to the Champions League and linking up superbly with Sadio Mane as well as Mohamed Salah by coming deeper and creating space as well as taking over the job as a playmaker.

But ex-England star Danny Murphy believes that Liverpool can cope with the absence of Firmino if they manage to lure in Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe to Anfield. The 21-year-old striker has already got 23 goals and 10 assists this season and Mbappe might look for a different challenge in a different league.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the 42-year-old Murphy explained that Mbappe’s arrival at Anfield could make Liverpool’s attack scarier if the World Cup winner replaces Firmino. He further added, “If Liverpool were to lose Firmino and go and get [Kylian] Mbappe, would that be a more scary front three? Would he complement the other two as much? It is a debate and no one can give me a fact. I think if Mbappe was playing up front with Mane and Salah, it would be scarier than playing with Firmino, Mane, and Salah.”
