Liverpool came from one goal behind to secure a 3-1 win over Norwich City on Saturday at Anfield and close the gap on Manchester City to three points.

MATCH PROCEEDINGS

Norwich City forced Liverpool on the back foot seconds after kick-off with Alisson Becker called into action when Max Aarons’ delivery threatened the goal.

Kostas Tsimikas had a great opportunity early on to find the opener for his side with Salah teeing up the former only for his effort to go sailing over the bar.

Both teams had to settle for an even scoreline heading into the break with chances on either side of the pitch failing to prove decisive for taking the lead.

The visitors, however, delivered a surprise to Liverpool following the restart with Rashica’s strike taking a big deflection off Joel Matip to end up in the back of the net.

Jurgen Klopp rang in changes from the bench with Thiago and Origi coming on and the impact was instant as Tsimikas set up Sadio Mane for the leveller with the forward netting an acrobatic effort.

Alisson Becker launched a long kick for Salah to chase and the Egyptian was clinical in his effort to find the back of the net to bring up his 150th goal in the Liverpool colours.

New boy Luis Diaz got in on the action as well with the January signing slotting the ball past the Norwich goalkeeper Gunn to rubber-stamp the win for the hosts.
