Liverpool boast of a sumptuous attacking force for the upcoming season

After finishing 2nd in the Premier League and losing out on winning the prestigious Champions League trophy, Liverpool are again back with their thunderous transfer signings to strengthen their squad depth. Benfica has accepted a fee of around £85m for their former striker(Darwin Nunez) making him the most expensive Liverpool player ever.

With the probable departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich, Darwin looks like the perfect player to replace his legacy. Luis Diaz on the other hand had a brilliant season despite being exposed to the Premier League for the first time. Liverpool’s defense has never let them down, especially in the Klopp’s era and in this upcoming season, it seems like Anfield will roar even louder when the new attacking trio by the likes of Darwin Nunez, Salah and Luiz Dias steps up that lush green pitch. It’s not only Liverpool making some important changes in the squad but it’s also Manchester City who got one of the most talented youngsters and adding to it his ferocious attacking nature(Haaland) from Dortmund this window-making them again the favourites to clinch the league title.

The new attacker for the Klopp’s army (Darwin Nunez) has bagged a total of 28 goals in 26 games and also has 4 assists to his name in the Primiera Liga. Well, let’s not forget the 6 goals as well that he scored in the Champions League. His brace against Barcelona saw them do the unthinkable by assuring Benfica a place in the knockouts and pushing Barcelona to the Europa League for the second time in their history.

Salah, on the other hand, is one heck of a forward. His dribbling, his vision, his pace and his ability to create accurate spaces makes him one of the finest players in the world at the moment. Despite, losing the Champions League final and missing out the 20th Premier League title, Salah has made a mark in English football. For the past three seasons in a row, he has been named the best Liverpool player. Well, the stats speak for himself as he bagged a total of 23 goals and 13 assists in the league. To sum it up he has a total of 31 goals this season helping him win the Premier League golden boot for the second time in his career along with Son Heung-min. On the other hand, Salah has also been named as the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

It’s not only that attack that helps Liverpool ease past their opponents but it’s also their defence. Six Liverpool players have been nominated for the PFA Awards- Alisson, Trent Alexander Arnold, Thiago, Salah and Mane. The former Wolves striker Jota is another player who simply can’t stop scoring. Jota has slowly started to become one of the most pivotal players of the squad due to his scoring agility. Last season he has already been one of the highest scorers in the league with a tally of 15 goals and 4 assists.

With the departure of Origi as well to AC Milan, Jurgen Klopp won’t be in a panic mode as the signing of Fábio Carvalho has already further reinforced this area. Harvey Elliot is looking like a player who can take up the place very soon as he had a full pre-season to practice and add to the attack. Sadio Mane’s absence will be a major blow for the team as he has established a very crucial relationship with the team but Liverpool is such a kind of a team especially under Klopp’s guidance that it won’t affect them to that extent. To sum it up, Liverpool’s attack seems to be the best in the upcoming season as well and all the new comings to the Anfield side so far have not failed to deliver the magic that they possess.
