Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp issues high praise for West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp issued high praise for West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen ahead of the two sides squaring up in Premier League action at Anfield on Saturday.

Bowen is rumoured to be one of the top names on the shopping list for Klopp who is tipped to add depth to his attacking ranks this coming summer transfer window.

The former Hull City man Bowen has been a hit figure in the West Ham United shirt over the course of the campaign with eight goals and 10 assists to his tally as Liverpool keep an eye out for his development.

Despite Luis Diaz’s arrival on Merseyside in the recent January window, Liverpool are backed to eye up reinforcements from the transfer market with speculation rife over the long-term futures of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Speaking to reporters in his pre-match presser, Klopp was lavish in his praise for Bowen’s talent with the German clearly a fan of the English winger who has earned rave reviews for his showings in the top flight.

“Bowen – what a player he became.

“Unbelievable. We saw him as well at Hull and he was really good at that time. I’m not sure a lot of people expected this jump, but unbelievable player.

“[Said] Benrahma, outstanding. [Pablo] Fornals, outstanding. [Michail] Antonio, outstanding. But we are not bad as well and that is what we have to let them feel. In the [previous game] against West Ham I don’t think we did that because we were not ourselves, at least not to 100 per cent.”
