Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp voices his admiration for Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland

Borussia Dortmund’s high-flying star striker Erling Haaland was subject to much praise from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in the latter’s interview to German news outlet BILD.

Haaland has been one of the top players in his position in world football over the last couple of years and the Norweigan came close to sealing a Premier League switch this summer with Chelsea keeping tabs on the Dortmund man.

Thomas Tuchel’s Blues, however, could not land the 20-year-old who commands a massive price-tag in the transfer market courtesy of his showings for Dortmund in domestic and European club football.

Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp recent remarks on Haaland’s talents could give birth to speculation of the Merseydeirs joining the fray for the player when his release clause comes down to £64 million in January.

Klopp lavished praise for the Norway international forward who was branded as an ‘extraordinary talent’ by the German coach who is believed to be looking to improve upon his attacking options at Anfield this summer.

“There is of course a danger with such an extraordinary talent. The boy is a force of nature.”

“When he celebrated a goal, he hit the ball on the ground, so I wasn’t sure if there was a dent in the ground.

“Sooner or later he will be in discussion with large clubs. I don’t know if that will be the case next year, but then Dortmund will have to counter it.

“He’s just a very interesting player. I really like the energy he brings to the pitch.

“But he would generally be seen by most of the teams.”
