Liverpool confirm capture of 16-year old Polish attacking wonderkid

Liverpool FC have completed the signing of Polish wonderkid Mateusz Musialowski, which makes the attacker the club’s first signing this summer following their Premier League title-winning campaign. The 16-year old will arrive at Anfield from SMS Lodz. The transfer fee paid by the Merseyside club for Musialowski’s signing has not been disclosed.

The 16-year old winger will initially join Jurgen Klopp’s side on a youth contract. However, a professional deal will be extended to the player when he turns 17. As for now, Musialowski will link up with fellow Reds youth prospects at the club’s developmental squad at the Kirby Academy.

Musialowski is highly regarded back in his homeland as one of the country’s brightest prospects. The attacker is largely tipped to emulate his footballing idol Robert Lewandowski’s exploits upfront on the pitch. However, a comparison to Lewandowski, the best striker in the world at the moment, is a bit too far-fetched for the 16-year old Musialowski.

Nevertheless, the Polish starlet’s arrival at the club will be subject to great enthusiasm from the Liverpool FC supporters. Jurgen Klopp has been known to develop young talents into world-class players, evident by the rise of Trent Alexander Arnold at the Merseyside giants. A similar approach has been taken with Curtis Jones and Neco Williams, both of whom have blossomed under the German coach this season.

According to reports, the Reds had secured a deal for Musialowski a few months ago. However, the 16-year old’s arrival at the club had been delayed quite a bit. Prior to him signing for the 2019-20 Premier League champions, Musialowski had astounding goalscoring stats to his name, with the attacker having found the back of the net 130 times in 80 appearances.

Subject to him joining the Liverpool FC youth squad, Musialowski would not be the lone Polish player in the club’s academy. He would be joined by fellow Poles Jakub Ojrzyński, Fabian Mrozek, and Kamil Grabara in the squad.
