Liverpool could cash-in on midfielder Naby Keita in January

Liverpool are tipped to cash in on midfielder Naby Keita in January should the boss Jurgen Klopp look to bring in a new signing to reinforce his engine room.

The Reds are very much in the transfer market for viable options to bolster their midfield roster which has been hit with injuries so far this season and could do with a pair of fresh legs heading into the January transfer window.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that Keita could be deemed surplus to requirements by Klopp with the latter on the hunt for a new No.8 to add to his squad in a mid-season move.

The Guinea international Keita has not turned out for the Merseyside giants since the Community Shield showdown against Manchester City back in August with a long-term thigh injury sidelining the midfielder from the action.

Keita is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season, and Liverpool would like to offload him for a knockdown asking price rather than lose him for free come next summer.
