Liverpool could sign former midfielder Gini Wijnaldum in a short-term loan deal

Liverpool could sign former midfielder Gini Wijnaldum in a short-term loan deal a summer after the Dutchman left Anfield to join Paris Saint-Germain.

It was a horrid 2021-22 campaign for Wijnaldum in the colours of PSG with the midfield maestro failing to impress which has sparked off fresh speculation over his future beyond this transfer window.

According to the Irish Daily Star ( via The Liverpool Echo), it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp is interested in re-signing his former anchorman in the summer to add a much-needed fresh face to his ranks in the centre of the park.

Klopp has so far delayed the need to bring in reinforcements to bolster his midfield roster despite there being much speculation that the Liverpool boss would be tempted to dip into the market and sign a replacement for the then outgoing Wijnaldum.

PSG could be open to parting ways with their flop signing with Liverpool looking for a short-term loan agreement after it became clear that long-standing target Jude Bellingham was to stay put at Dortmund until next year.
