Liverpool do not want to part ways with Fabio Carvalho on a permanent transfer this summer

Liverpool do not want to part ways with Fabio Carvalho on a permanent transfer this summer as interest in the youngster from elsewhere intensifies.

Carvalho made the move to Anfield last summer from Fulham after an impressive campaign in the Championship for the Cottagers who secured promotion to the top flight by winning the second tier division.

The Portuguese midfield talent, however, has started just one game for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds since Christmas and there has been speculation doing the rounds that Liverpool are being approached by other clubs from both home and abroad.

According to a report from The Liverpool Echo, it is claimed that the Anfield camp are not keen on losing Carvalho in a permanent deal come the summer and would rather sanction his exit on loan to ensure he earns regular game time elsewhere.

With Liverpool likely to dip into the market for at least two world-class midfielders, Carvalho will not stand to gain in the pecking order at the club and a move away on loan will be key to his development plans.
