Liverpool duo eyed in a double swoop by Championship side

Nottingham Forest are rumored to be interested in making a move for Liverpool FC duo Nat Phillips and Sheyi Ojo.

The Championship outfit have been looking at a number of attacking options to sign in this summer’s transfer window, however, Ojo has caught the eye of the club with his run of form last season at Rangers while on loan from the Reds.

As for Philips, the 23-year old center-back is highly likely to depart Anfield amid interest from a number of second-tier English sides. He is doubtful to get any significant first-team involvement next season with Joel Matip returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

However, in order to make Philips’ signing a reality, Forest will have to fend off competition from many of their Championship rivals such as Bristol City, Stoke City, and Swansea City. The Liverpool FC defender enjoyed a great loan spell at German club Stuttgart this past season, which has led to other clubs inquire about his availability this summer.

Ojo will be subject to a loan bid from Forest, according to reports. The English winger is still seen as a promising talent despite him not being able to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad at Anfield.
