Liverpool are highly expected to sanction Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s exit next summer with the midfielder struggling to impress Jurgen Klopp in recent times.
Oxlade-Chamberlain along with fellow midfield players Naby Keita and James Milner will be out of contract on Merseyside come summer 2023 and there is great uncertainty over Liverpool’s plans to renew their deals.
According to a report from The Liverpool Echo, it is claimed that writing appears to be on the wall for the ex-Arsenal talent Chamberlain whose Anfield stint has been a cruel tale of untimely injury setbacks despite the promise to perform at the highest level.
Liverpool could look to part ways with the Englishman with the Anfield camp in recent years not afraid to let players, who had been deemed surplus to requirements in the first-team roster, leave for a free transfer.
Chamberlain has managed just six consecutive Premier League starts since Liverpool’s historic Premier League triumph back in 2020 as the player has failed to leave a lasting impact on Klopp and the backroom staff.
