Liverpool eye up Adama Traore’s signature in a cut-price deal this summer

Wolves star forward Adama Traore remains a transfer target for Liverpool who are keen on signing the pacy Spanish wide player in a cut-price deal during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Traore had been heavily linked with a switch to Merseyside last summer as well but it was his former Wolves teammate Diogo Jota who ended up joining Jurgen Klopp’s men in a big-money deal.

With the Liverpool boss Klopp backed to bring in a fresh face for his attacking department this summer, in the aftermath of Harry Wilson’s exit for Fulham, reports from the Daily Star suggest that Traore is once again on Liverpool’s radar.

It is believed that Klopp is reviving his interest in landing the signature of the Wolves first-teamer who he is hopeful of signing by shelling out a fee worth £30 million, half of what was demanded by the Molineux Stadium outfit in the summer of 2020.

The ever-increasing uncertainty over the Anfield future of Xherdan Shaqiri is understood to be another reason why Klopp has moved to bring in fresh blood to bolster his options up top on the pitch before the new season gets underway.
